Our New Diet For Westie Allergies 🥦 [+ New VIDEO!]

Hi,

Our new video is out, part 2 of “How I solved my Westie’s allergies”. You can watch it here! 🐶

I am talking about how I changed Sami’s diet from kibble to home cooked food, which made all the difference! 🐟🥕🫐 I added supplements to his diet to strengthen his immune system and we are also doing ozone therapy.

Watch our latest video!

The hard part? Cooking for Sami is pretty time consuming and quite expensive too (since he is allergic to most protein sources, so the only meats he can eat are the fancy kind). 😅 The good thing? Sami is better than he’s ever been, no more itchy skin, no wearing the cone, he is happy and active and his best self! So it’s definitely worth it.

I am still figuring out his diet and I am learning a lot, so I’ll make a new video soon to share more.

I am curious, do you feed your dog kibble or home cooked food? Or a combination of both?

Useful things our readers have mentioned…

  • A few people recommended ChlorConazone shampoo from Vet Basics for itchy skin (it contains chlorhexidine gluconate 2% and ketoconazone 1%). I haven’t tried it because I think it’s only available in the USA, but I thought I would mention it here, in case anyone needs it.

  • Dr. Judy Morgan’s videos on YouTube. I haven’t heard of Dr. Judy until recently, when a few of our subscribers recommended in the comments I watch her videos about pet diets. I found some of the things she shares interesting, so I thought I would add it here to my newsletter. If you are interested to know more about feeding your pup naturally, check out her videos.

  • Rachel Fusaro’s YouTube channel is also an amazing resource when it comes to dog foods. She is known for reviewing various brands of kibble, but she has a lot of other interesting things dog-related.

That’s it for this week! Reply to this email and let me know, what else would you like to see in our future videos?

PS: If you know any dog parents who might benefit from reading our emails, forward this email to them, so they can subscribe too!

Until next week!

Take care,

Miruna and Sami 💕🐾
