8 questions to ask yourself before you get a Westie ❤️ 🐾

If you're thinking about getting a Westie, or if you already have one and you're wondering why nobody warned you... this one's for you.

This week I made a video about the 8 questions I WISH someone had sat me down and asked me before I got Sami. Not to talk me out of it. Just to make sure I knew what I was actually signing up for.

Things like:

• Do you want a dog who listens, or a dog who negotiates?

• Are you ready to be outsmarted by something roughly the size of a house cat?

• Are you okay with a dog who has very strong opinions about everything? 😂

And the big one: have you actually thought about what it means to share your life with one of these dogs?

Not the grooming schedule or the vet bills, which are also not easy to keep up with. But I’m talking about the everyday stuff. The fact that someone is always there. That your routines now have a very opinionated little creature who has thoughts about all of it.

Seven years in and I'm still finding new ways to answer that last question.
