6 things that make Sami happy (and they're all free)
No toys, no treats, no money. Just pure Westie joy

I have a confession to make.
Over the past 7 years, I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on toys for Sami. Squeaky ones, plush ones, "indestructible" ones (destroyed in 4 minutes). Fancy dog puzzle toys. A ball that lights up. Something shaped like a croissant that I bought because I thought it was cute.
Most of them? Sitting in a box somewhere. Played with for a day, maybe two, and then he forgot all about them.
It took me way too long to realize that the things that actually make Sami the happiest don't cost me a single cent. Not one.
And once I figured that out, I felt a little silly for not seeing it sooner. Because the clues were always there. The way he melts when I scratch behind his ears. The way he lights up when I talk to him in a ridiculous baby voice. The zoomies that come out of nowhere and take over the entire apartment. β€οΈ
So I made a video about it.
I'm sharing the 6 things that genuinely make Sami the happiest, from letting him be the boss on walks (because let's be honest, he already thinks he is!) to the one thing most people completely skip that actually exercises his brain. π§
Here's what I love about this list: every single thing on it is something you can do today. Right now. No Amazon order, no pet store trip, nothing. Just you and your Westie and a few minutes of your time.
I'd love to hear which one YOUR Westie loves the most β€οΈ Hit reply and tell me. I read every single one.
πΎ Oh, and if you missed it last week, Bobby is still writing his Daily Dog Parent newsletter and honestly some of the stuff he shares is making ME emotional. This week he wrote about something he saw at the vet - an older woman helping her senior golden retriever stand up - and it got him thinking about what we actually sign up for when we get a dog. I won't spoil it, but I will say I needed a minute after reading it. If you want to check it out: dailydogparent.com (free, short emails, 3 times a week, and you can unsubscribe any time).
Until next time,
Miruna & Sami πΆ π
P.S. If you know someone who also has a Westie, forward this to them! They'll love our weekly newsletters!
Forward this to a friend so they can sign up as well:
Thanks for sharing π
